London Stories' brings
together some of the most exciting photographers working on extended projects about contemporary London.

This is the first 'Stories' exhibition, a series of that will showcase excellence in the photography of life in major international cities.

This new platform is a rare opportunity for photographers doing progressive city-based projects. Longer-term bodies
of work have a chance to be realized and promoted without compromise.

In a present international
climate of shrinking editorial opportunities, 'Stories' is

designed to celebrate the unpredictable, in a way that other media has ceased to.

Our short-list reflects a rising lyricism in approaches to photographing the city, setting us apart from the supposed neutrality of the reportage tradition.

This collection of work is as generous and direct as it is challenging and subtle. We are constantly trying to develop our audience';s depth and breadth; the necessary media noise has begun to be sounded through
a variety of channels.

In being outside a 'white cube' space, we hope to reduce the exclusivity of looking at quality pure photography at its most immediate. Our first venue, Shoreditch Town Hall's labyrinthine basement, is a London Story in it's self, as exciting to encounter as the photography.

An executive editorial panel
of mentors from world-class agencies and institutions will host our portfolio meetings.
Their edits and input they will help create balance, poise and consequently a cumulative
power for the projects.

In November 2006 an on-line global portal that will be launched as a way of curating further shows in other major cities. With New York Stories and Tokyo Stories already being planned we are in an ideal position to invest in Work by the right photographers early.

In 2008, 'Stories' is aiming to
be at major international photography art fairs and to
have opened our first print sales gallery.
